                                 Cornwall Fire Services doesn’t take a holiday – our two bases are staffed 24 hours a day,
                                 seven days a week, all year long. Platoons will be working on Christmas Eve, throughout Hanukkah, on Bodhi
                                 Day, Yule – you get the idea!
                                Firefighters are always ready to respond. If there’s an emergency, call 911. Even better, though, take steps this
                               holiday season to prevent fires!
                             In the kitchen: cooking and drinking don’t mix (cooking and smoking cannabis don’t mix, either). Stay in the

                         kitchen while you’re cooking, and ensure children are kept a safe distance from the stove.
         Decorations: let’s go flameless! Try battery-operated candles. Keep decorations one metre away from space heaters.
         Extension cords: these helpful cords are for temporary use only. Don’t run them under rugs. Avoid overloading outlets.
         However you choose to celebrate this holiday season, please do so safely.


        Cornwall Wildcats U12 Team Earns Provincial

        11-year-old  players,  took  home  the
        Provincial Championship title of the
        National  Capital  Amateur  Football
        Association  (NCAFA).  They  won
        against the Toronto Thunder, a team
        that was previously undefeated.

          “We  played  our  fall  season  in
        Ottawa, and we were undefeated.
        We  went  8  and  0  and  won  the
        Ottawa      Championships.       So,

        was the inaugural Ontario Football
        Fall  Championships,”  said  Kirby
