years old, and he started playing lacrosse when he was
9. He now plays both sports competitively. “I play
for the Seaway Valley AA Rapids and for the Cornwall
Celtics Lacrosse Association,” he explains.
When it comes to sports, Chase’s philosophy is simple.

“I work hard and play hard, every sport and every shift
out.” It’s one of the reasons why Chase is often used
as a call-up for the levels above him. His work ethic
makes him an asset to any team he plays for.
Chase enjoys the element of competition when
participating in sports. He likes seeing results and improvements in his development.
Playing sports at a professional level would be his dream job. He states, “Being a
professional athlete would be great!”
Brendan Gallagher and Alexander Ovechkin are two professional athletes that Chase
admires. “Gallagher has an excellent work ethic. And Ovi has a great skill set and raw
power,” he explains.
Chase attends Char-Lan DHS and is in Grade 8. He prefers math and Phys. Ed. over the
other subjects learned at school. When not at school or playing hockey or lacrosse, he
enjoys all things outdoors – hunting, fishing, and riding his dirt bike or ATV. “I like to be
outside in nature, to enjoy the forest, river, or ocean…whatever nature I might be around.”
