Successful Events At The Summerstown Trails
By Staff Writer
n spite of the ugly weather that
Iprevailed for most of February, the
Friends of the Summerstown Trails
were able to host three successful
events: the annual Dion Snowshoe
Race, Family Day Festivities, and
a moonlight outing. In addition,
they also hosted 490 students and
teachers on field trips at the trails.
FOTST President Vic Leroux said:
“Given the little snow that we had, it
was still a very good season. Lots of
thanks go to our volunteer groomers
who worked miracles.”
The trails will now be prepared for
the thousands of walkers, hikers, and
bikers who come to the trails during
the non-winter months. The ladies outnumbered the men
