Whistle Stops
Presents Whistle Stops
By Mike Piquette
The “Team” has just completed Issue #141, and as always, I would
like to thank Lynn (Graphic Design), Marion (Editor), Bernadette (Website),
our writers, Molly, Victoria, Thom, Casey, Jim, and Christine. Thanks to our
editorial columnists, Jim, Jorge, Dave, Peter, Nikolai, Janeen, Alex, Roxee,
Rosanne, Brad, Thorin, and Marion. Cheers to The Sports Panel: Peter, Jake,
and Jim. Appreciation goes out to our neighborly advice columnists Brian,
Mike, and Max, our crossword puzzle writer Doug, as well as our distribution
manager, Pat, our ad salesman, Gord, our distribution locations, our advertisers,
and of course the people who are featured in our stories. I hope you enjoy # 141.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the people in all areas of conflict
in the world.
I was hoping Patrik Laine would make a huge comeback in Montreal
this season. It’s too bad he got hurt and will delay his return to the ice. Wishing
him a speedy recovery.
Love him or hate him, John Tortorella, coach of the Philidelphia
Flyers has a soft spot in his heart. This was recently seen when he invited Guy
Gaudreau, father of Johnny and Matty Gaudreau out to a Flyers practice to help
out on the ice. Torts would like Guy to become a part of the Flyers coaching
staff.
