Meet our Athletes
Fiona Leger
Age: 10

School: Williamstown Public School
Grade: 5
March’s Game On athlete is an articulate
young lady who tells her own story.
“I have been playing hockey for seven years,”
Fiona begins. “I love that it’s a team sport and
you get to make a lot of new friends; you
encourage each other to do your best. It’s fun
to work hard and challenge yourself to learn
new skills, and it’s really fun when it pays off and you can help your team. I
mostly play defense, but sometimes they let me play center.”
“Next in hockey, I would like to make next year’s U13 rep team,” she
continues. “In the future I would love to play in the PWHL for the Victoire de
Montreal. In other sports, I am going to golf camp this summer and will be
playing GSL soccer again. In August I will be dancing again in the Highland
Games.”
