                                      Eight-year-old Gavin Glen Desjardins from

                                      Williamstown  has been named South
                                                                                                                         
                                      Glengarry’s Athlete of the Month. He plays
                                                                                                                           	     
                                      both hockey and soccer, sports he has enjoyed
                                      for the past three years. Gavin plays forward/
                                      right wing in hockey and enjoys being part of
                                                                                                                                   


                                      a team with his friends. His short-term goal is                                                                  

                                      to win a hockey tournament, and his long-term
                                      goal is to one day play in the NHL. Outside
                                      of  sports,  Gavin  hopes  to  work for  Lauzon
                                      Trucking in the future if he does not pursue
                                      professional hockey. One of his proudest
        accomplishments  so far is being named MVP Overall for soccer in the
        summer of 2025. Gavin believes that sports are important for the community
        because they help people make new friends and have fun. He looks up to his
        cousin, Colby Lauzon, and hopes to one day play for the Cornwall Colts like
        him.
