Derek Leroux Talks Fishing
By Molly Kett
erek Leroux was born and
Draised in Lancaster and grew
up on the river, which is where
his passion for fishing began. He
credits his love of the sport to his
father, who was the first one to take
him fishing.
“That was our pastime,” says
Leroux, on fishing with his father.
“That was our fun and then I just
got hooked on it right from the
start. Every minute I had, I tried to
get out to the river, ride my bicycle
down to the river. Of course fishing
was good back then, different than
today.”
