SVR Minor Atom A Team Starts Season with a

Tournament Win

he Seaway Valley Minor Atom A team
Topened their season with a tournament
win in Rochester NY, September 16-18th.
The team went undefeated in the Monarch
Battle Royal AAA Tournament Series and
earned the championship title for the 2007
field.
The SVR team faced 5 teams
throughout the weekend, defeating each
team by a large margin. Strong skating,
consistent passing, intensive offence, and
solid defence were the keys to the team’s
success. “During game-play, the players
impressed the bench with their tenacity
and their cohesion,” states Head Coach
Miguel Delisle. “The players’ hard work
and commitment over the last month of
practices certainly paid off.”

robin play and the championship final are
as follows:
Game 1: SVR (5) vs. Kingston Jr.
Frontenacs (1)
Goals were scored by Tristan Delisle,
Owen Corput, and Parker Thompson.
Assists were earned by Delisle and
Corput.
Game 2: SVR (9) vs. Amherst Knights
(1)
Goals were pocketed by Delisle,
Corput, Dean Fawthrop, and Jensen
White. Assists were awarded to Corput,
Fawthrop, Ayden Baumann, Parker
