Rookie of the Month

Massimo Munafo

Grade: 9 Age: 14
School: Holy Trinity
Hometown: South Glengarry
The Rookie of Month for June is Holy Trinity Junior
Boys’ Soccer Player Massimo Munafo.
This young athlete plays centre-mid for the Falcons.
“He has an amazing touch with the ball,” says Falcons’
coach Mindy Gibbs. “He’s very dedicated; he’s at every
practice, and he comes early.” His coachability is another
quality that his coach admires. “He’s the backbone of our
defence, and his teammates respect him,” she says.
“I like it a lot,” says Massimo of playing soccer for Holy
Trinity. He also plays for the Seaway Valley Blazers. He says that high school soccer
gives him the chance to play against a variety of teams and opponents.
Massimo is an honour roll student with an average in the 80s. His favourite class is
drama, and one thing he really likes about Holy Trinity is its quality education program.
