                                           Owen Belmonte


                                      School: Our Lady of Good Council
                                      Grade: 8 Age: 12
                                      Hometown: Newington
                                      August’s Athlete of the Month excels in both hockey
                                      and football.  He also enjoys riding his ATV in his
                                      spare time.
                                      Owen’s hard work and love of sports is paying off,
                                      bringing him to the next level in both hockey and
                                      football.  This spring, he experienced his first season

                                      of body contact hockey, playing with the 2005
                                      Prowlers.
         “Owen is a great kid and gives 120% during every shift and at every practice.  You can’t
         teach that,” says hockey coach Al Quenneville.  Coach Quenneville also cites Owen’s
         drive to succeed as one of his best attributes.
         In football, Owen earned team MVP accolades at quarterback and linebacker, leading his
         team to the finals in spring competition.

         When it comes to school, Owen likes math, and he is currently interested in a career in law
         enforcement.  This season, he’s suiting up for his fourth NCAFA season with the Wildcats.
