MVP of the Month Switzerland • Hidden Trails & Majestic Peaks
Ryan Melesky September 20-29, 2019
Home town: Kemptville
Monkland School: North Grenville District H.S.
Grade: 11
Age: 16
According to Cornwall Royals’ Baseball coach Rick
Fournier, MVP of the Month Ryan Melesky is a dedicated
young man who has a strong drive to win. “He’s our
pitching work horse and usually starts all our big games,”
says Fournier. “At practice, he’s not satisfied until he gets it right, whether it’s
fielding grounders or working on his hitting technique. He’s the consummate
athlete on our team. He always works hard and is never happy with being
mediocre.”
Ryan enjoys playing for the Royals. “It’s a good level of baseball,” he says.
“The people I’ve met keep me going back.”
At school, Ryan’s favourite class is gym, and he hopes to pursue a career in
baseball after graduating.
