to one day work with the police in the K-9 division.
Cornwall Royals baseball coach Rick Fournier calls
Kyle his unofficial assistant coach. “He loves the
game,” says Fournier. “You can tell by spending any
time with him in practice or games. He demands that all his teammates dedicate themselves
to the task at hand.”
Coach Fournier has another reason for singling out Kyle. As he tells it: “I nominated Kyle
because during our year end summer baseball tournament he pitched a gem of a game.
He was able to ride a tough first inning and pitched 7 very solid innings. It was the best
performance of the year in my opinion. We ended up losing 2-1 to an extremely strong
team, and the game was close because of his performance.”
Kyle enjoys the level of competition to be found playing for the Royals. When he’s not
pitching, he’s the starting catcher.
