“It can be a little awkward,” says Camrin about
being the only female player on an ostensible ‘boys’ team. “I like the tackling and the fact
that I sometimes get recognized,” she admits.
SAVE Camrin is no stranger to the gridiron. This is her third year of competition, having

followed her older brother into the game, she played Wildcats ball at the mosquito and

peewee levels. As for her parents, Camrin says they fully support her athletic pursuits,
35 and she’s happy to have them in her corner.
As a rookie Panther, Camrin’s favourite class is physical education, and she says that the
number of students in high school is the biggest adjustment from elementary.
