         Golden Win in Kingston!


             he Seaway Valley Rapids AA Minor Peewees won gold at the 2019
         TTaylor Hall Cup Classic held over January 11-13th.  In round-robin

         play, the SVR team logged 3 wins and dropped one loss, earning them
         a spot in Sunday’s semi-final action against league competition Upper
         Ottawa Valley Aces - the Rapids secured their spot in the finals with a
         resounding 6-1 win against UOA.  Championship play saw the Rapids
         face off against the Kingston Frontenacs, a team that proved to be strong
         competition during the preliminary round of the tournament (SVR beat
         the Kingston team 1-0, scoring during the last minutes of the game).

         The championship game was momentous with fast play going back and
         forth throughout the match-up.  In the end, the Rapids edged ahead 4-3
