Q&A I’m a midget AAA player and some of my coaches have told me I had to “Bulk Up” if I want to play junior hockey. When I asked them what they
mean by that or how do I do it, they don’t have any answers. Can you help me?
This is such a great question. One that many kids are often faced with.
In this regard I highly suggest getting a trainer, especially at your age, to do this well. What this means is adding lean mass to your frame. What that does not
entail is eating anything and everything in sight, as food is not all equal when talking about performance. What I would suggest is getting on a CONSISTENT
training regime 5 days a week that is well structured and progressive, making notes of recovery days as well. In turn putting a heavy focus on quality food and
an accompanying supplement. Two that I highly suggest are Dioxyme and UCAN. They both use high quality ingredients and are both NSF approved.
