Hi JR,
Q&A I am a graduating bantam goalie. What drills can I do this summer to improve my hand-eye coordination?
Great question. As a goaltender you want to make sure that you are constantly challenging that hand-eye coordination. It may sound
counter-intuitive but playing other sports like lacrosse, baseball, and any raquette sport is going to really assist in the development of that
hand-eye coordination. As you become more sport specific begin juggling and using wall drills to help hone that skill even more. Close
one eye and complete them, have multiple balls going at a time, and lastly use a vision screen on your cage when taking shots. All of
these will help with your ability to track the puck.
