Nathan Claude
Grade: 9 School: Char-Lan District HS
Living in the Williamstown area, Nathan plays hockey
for the U15 B Rep Char-Lan Rebels. “I started playing
hockey at the age of 7. I started out playing in House
League, but now I play at the Rep level.”
FPO
Nate is a centerman for the team and he has quite the
reputation for quick skating and silky mitts. To date,
Nate is a top scorer for the team. “One of my biggest
accomplishments is getting a hat trick this season. It was
a one timer slap shot that went in top shelf. We were
FPO
playing Smiths Falls back in December.”
Nathan also plays school sports, the Gr. 9-12 hockey team
and the junior basketball squad being the most recent. “I
started playing basketball at home, just playing around,
but now I play for the Crusaders school team. It isn’t too
serious though,” he explains.
It’s hockey that Nate is most focused on and is aspiring to continue playing at a competitive
level. “I want to keep getting more competitive, until I can get somewhere where I can be
scouted for the OHL. I want hockey to be my life.”
Like most athletic youth, Nathan admires athletes who are inspiring and great role models. “I
admire Kobe Bryant. He played with focus, not worrying about feelings. That’s how I try to
play,” he states.
As a student, Nathan enjoys Health and Phys. Ed., classes which will keep him fit and healthy
with school or playing sports, he can be found working out, playing video games, and sometimes
so he can follow his career interests of the military or professional hockey. When he isn’t busy
hanging out with friends.
