Katie is February’s Game On athlete. She’s an
energetic young lady with joie de vivre that is
contagious. She loves science, crafts, sports,
playing board games, and animals. Katie also
enjoys time spent with her grandpa learning
how to play the violin.
In terms of athletics, Katie has a lot going
on. She currently studies highland and step
dancing with the MacCullough School of Dancing in Williamstown, and she
plays soccer on Saturday mornings with the Seaway Valley Soccer Club. Katie
is also taking downhill skiing lessons on the weekends through the winter,
and she takes swimming lessons at the St. Andrew’s pool in the summer.
“Oh, and I also love to run cross-country!” Katie adds enthusiastically.
Katie feels that playing sports is a great way to meet new friends and to have
fun with them. She explains that sports give kids a chance to be a part of a
team. Katie also feels that it’s great fun for kids to take part in athletics at
school. “Next month my class is going outdoor skating and I can’t wait!”
