                                       The Game On athlete for April is Lancaster’s
                                      Marek Mallet. He’s just wrapped up his
                                      season playing with the U11 CharLan team.                                          
                                      Marek is one of the team’s goalies.
                                       “We moved to Lancaster in 2021 so this is                                           	     
                                      my second season playing as a Rebel. Before                                                                      

                                      that, I played for the Cornwall Colts. My old                                                
          
    ­
         principal, Mr. McLeod, was actually my old coach!” explains Marek.
          Marek began playing hockey a little later than his teammates and so he
         played only one year at the IP level. “After my year in IP, I was moved up to
         Novice. I wanted to be a goalie, but in Novice everyone gets a turn to try it.
         I didn’t like that much because I didn’t like to play out as a player. I didn’t
         like skating very much,” says Marek about how he became a goaltender.
          When asked about his accomplishments  or favourite memories playing
         hockey, Marek explains that he’s just really happy when he makes a move or
         play that he’s never done before. “Once I caught a puck with my trapper, but
