Cornwall Wildcats Season Comes To An End

        By Terry Tinkess

he Cornwall Wildcats gave it all
Tthey had, but they couldn’t extend
their winning streak to six games and
as a result saw their season come to
an end with a 49-26 home field loss

        to the Kingston Grenadiers.
The Wildcats took the early lead

on a run by Sam Dugas in the first
quarter, but then Kingston put the
ball in the air and never looked back.
The Grenadiers led 25-14 at half
time and were ahead 32-14 early
in the third quarter. Two of their
touchdowns, one late in the game,
came off of interceptions that were
        run in for touchdowns.
          The Wildcats never quit, however,
but weren’t able to overcome the
        deficit.

The team had gained the right to a
home playoff game on the strength

of a five game winning streak after
starting the season with one win and The Kingston Grenadiers had luck putting the ball in the air, forcing Cornwall defensive backs like Reeve
