South Stormont Hall Of Fame Announces Class Of 2014

outh Stormont – The South Stormont Sports Hall of Fame was formed in 2005 to

whose sporting roots and residence reach back to the Township of South Stormont.
Being honoured at the 2014 event are inductees Ron Alguire (athlete/builder), Bryan
Barker (athlete), Gilles Crepeau (athlete), Harry de Wit (builder), Eric MacDonald
(athlete/builder), Steve McGillis (athlete), Monsignor Michael J. O’Brien (builder),
Dave Smith (athlete/builder), Dr. Henry Tamowski (athlete).
As part of the ceremony, the Hall of Fame also recognizes local students who have
reached great athletic accomplishments. Students receiving 2014 Athletic Achievement
awards include Kebbie Brown, Robyn Campbell, Parker Krol, Emilie Lamarche,
Brittany Laplante, and Carly McPhail. “The Hall of Fame takes pride in recognizing the
early accomplishments of some very successful South Stormont student athletes, some
of which are preparing to compete professionally or at a post-secondary level,” says
Hall of Fame President, Kristie Fetterly-Tate. “As they pursue their athletic dreams, we
are confident that a number of them will have the opportunity to reach achievements
worthy of future induction”.
The 2014 induction ceremony and dinner is scheduled for Saturday, September
20 at the South Stormont Community Hall in Long Sault. Tickets for the event are
currently available during business hours at event sponsors M&L Supply in Ingleside,
