Eastern Ontario wins bronze in World Broomball
Championships

apan is a long, long way to go to
Jplay Broomball, but when you
come back with a bronze medal in
the world championship tournament,
it all seems worthwhile.
The team, made up of players
from eastern Ontario qualified for
the medal round with a record of
two wins, two losses and a tie. In the
elimination round they lost 2-1 in a
very close game and were eliminated
from the gold medal game, but
qualified for the consolation game
and defeated the Australian Team
3-0 to win the bronze Medal.
While the players were
disappointed in not winning gold,
they took comfort in knowing that
they are the only team that have won
four straight medals at the World
Broomball Championships. The
team will try for gold again in 2016
