Liveco Boxing recently held a professional boxing card here in Cornwall.

What are your thoughts on the night and the fights?
Gilles Gaudet - Sports Enthusiast - They were cheering “Tony, Tony”, but this wasn’t the 1970’s, we weren’t at Chicago’s famed Stadium and

Tony Esposito was nowhere to be seen. Instead it was 2,500 rabid fans cheering for their hometown hero Tony Luis, and he didn’t disappoint;
winning by a referee’s technical decision in the sixth round.

Liveco’s boxing night in Cornwall was a big success and hopefully a harbinger for future fights in the Seaway City. There was an atmosphere in
the arena that hadn’t been experienced since the glory days of the Royals in the 70’s and 80’s. The popular sports saying “If you build it, they will
come” rings true in the case of the Cornwall sports scene. Bring in a local star, put together a great product, and the sporting enthusiasts of this city

will turn out and support it passionately!
Jake Lapierre - Conditioning Coach - A Fight night in Cornwall was an on-the-edge of your seat event from the first round of the first fight

to the last round of the final fight. These athletes travelled across the continent to be a part of Liveco Boxing to extend their fighting careers;
warriors going toe-to-toe, throwing lightning speed jabs, hooks, upper cuts, and hay makers for fight fans in Cornwall. The athletes, the crowd,
the atmosphere, the music all combined made for an entertaining evening, a successful event and I look forward to the next Liveco boxing event

in Cornwall. My hats off to Jorge Luis, the gang from Champs Eastside Boxing Club, the City of Cornwall, and all who made the event possible.

Great job!uts that it can’t wait until the beginning of the next season”. There’s no rush fellas!
Jim Riddell - Seaway Karate Club - TWith hometown boxer Tony Luis fighting the dangerous Noe Nunez in the main event, Liveco Boxing had
an easy event to promote. Most in the know put the attendance at three thousand or a bit more. All of the fights matched up quite well on paper,

but once the fighters enter the ring anything can happen. Liveco matchmaker Zac Pomilio, with many years in the boxing business, has a history of
strategically matching his fighters against challenging opposition. The first three bouts went to the judges’ scorecards and only one of the six fights
ended by an early stoppage. For many, if not most, fans in the audience this was their first taste of pro boxing and Liveco brought a product to the
Civic Complex that went beyond expectations. It was a successful night for all concerned and I would not be a bit surprised to see the California-
based promoter return to Cornwall with another card featuring Tony ‘Lightening Luis” and Ronnie “Rocket” Robidoux.
