• HARD WORKER
My name is
Patrick Dussault
I will retire from the Ontario Provincial Police, after 30 years of service in October 2018,
and I am looking forward to serving the citizens of Cornwall as a municipal councillor.
I have been living in the area since 1991 and during that time I have gained a reputation
of integrity and hard work, while getting involved in the community with several
organizations. Some of these are:
• Part-time Teacher at St-Lawrence College since 2004.
• Board of Directors, Cornwall Minor Hockey 2010-2014.
• Manager for Cornwall Colts Minor Hockey “B Rep” (travelling 2008-2013).
• Member of the “Police Foundations Advisory Committee”
St-Lawrence College Tri-Campus.
• Active member at Ste-Thérèse-de Lisieux Church/Parish.
• Member of the Cornwall and Area Human Trafficking Task Force.
• Association representative at work
(Police officers have associations rather than unions)
• Vice-President of the E.D.A. of S.D. and S.G.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
• Fair contract for municipal employees and city taxpayers upon renewal.
• Freeze on salaries of the Mayor, council members, and executives such as the
C.A.O. and the G. M. of Corporate Services for the duration of the term.
• Taxes NOT to increase and/or go above inflation rate.
• Promoting Cornwall as a place to live, work, and establish/attract new businesses.
• Construction of a sidewalk on Brookdale Avenue from 14th street to Vincent Massey
(west side of the road).
• Against spending money for studies such as the one for the traffic circle on Brookdale
Avenue.
• Collection of the “blue boxes” every other week.
I have the experience, the contacts, the dedication, and the skills for this position. On
October 22nd 2018 VOTE for Patrick Dussault!
