Santa found you all nice at Christmas, and he left each of you a special

present. He has granted you a wish that you could attend any sporting event
of your choice in 2019. What would that be and why?

Santa is financially well off because tickets can top out at twelve thousand dollars for a round of walking around Augusta. Augusta
National is 7,768 yards of unfettered beauty, a stunning array of breathtaking flora including; juniper, dogwood, azaleas and magnolias,

the list goes on and on. Many players and visitors have waxed religiously about Augusta and its exquisiteness. The great golf statesmen

Gary Player once stated, “I always said if they have a golf course like this in heaven, I want to be the head pro.” Founded by golf great
Bobby Jones, Augusta National opened for play in January of 1933 and the first Masters tournament was contested in 1934. It’s the
only grand slam golf tournament that’s not on a course rotation list. If the beauty of the course isn’t enough, you might spy one of its

Membership at Augusta is limited to about 300 well connected members. Hey if Santa is in a really generous mood maybe he could

a wish to attend any sporting event of my choice in 2019, gives me a lot to think about because there are so many great sporting events
to choose from. Of course there’s the Stanley Cup championship game, the Super Bowl, the NBA championship, or the World Series

a little late for that or NLL Lacrosse championship is always exciting. There are many great athletic events to choose from around

the world but given a choice and being a Rugby fan (I did attend the World Rugby Tournament in 2007) I would truly enjoy a trip
to Japan to attend the World Rugby championship one more time. That my wish Santa; I look forward to receiving tickets and travel

Jim Riddell - Seaway Karate Club - At one time I followed the CFL quite closely but only watch the occasional game now
and have not attended one Happy New Year everyone! The sporting event that I would most like to attend in 2019 would be a world

title fight for Cornwall’s Tony Luis. For the past several years Tony has been the top Lightweight boxer in Canada. In 2014-15 Tony
defeated two highly touted unbeaten American fighters Vonzell Ellison and Karl Dargan on ShoBox and ESPN respectively. In April
of 2015 Tony stepped in as a last minute replacement travelling to Liverpool, England on four days notice for a world title shot, only

to lose a close and controversial decision to champion Derry Matthews. Since that time Tony has had trouble getting fights with the
top fighter in his weight class. Luis is one of a handful of fighters that is capable of beating anyone in their division on any given night
– those fighters are avoided unless the payday outweighs the risk. Tony Luis has more than paid his dues – it’s now time for someone
to step up and give him a shot.
