Ellery Maloney – Lifelong Friendships through Sport
ornwall businessman Ellery
CMaloney had quite a successful
athletic career but there were a few
initial challenges that had to be
overcome. Born in 1930 with two
club feet, Ellery had to endure thirty
surgeries at the Shriners’ Hospital
in Montreal before he was able to
start walking at five years of age.
Skating was good therapy as the
foot was forced outward, and by
the time he was seven Ellery was
skating on the Cornwall Canal. To
this day Ellery remains thankful
for the Shriners and all of the good
work that they do. C.O.V.I. Winners
