Every position on a team has a crucial role,
It’s gotta be goaltending for sure! All the
pressure is on you, you’re the only one but if I had to pick just one it would be
goalie. Goalie is the hardest position I feel,
doing your job. There are 9 forwards and
6 D, so if a couple of guys are having a bad because they are the last line of defence,
so if the puck gets by the forwards and the
game or not playing well, it doesn’t stand out
defence the goalie is the team’s last resort to
the same as for a goaltender who is having an
off night. You are either the best or the worst, save the puck. It is also a hard position to play
because they have to be very good at reading the
and you are always the last thing between the puck
and the net. If you have a bad game, your team might not be play and have to know where the puck is at all times. As
the age and competition levels increase the shots get harder and faster,
successful, but on the other side of the coin, if you play really well,
so you would have to have a lot of confidence and fast reflexes to stand
you could be the reason for your team’s win. That’s a lot of pressure.
It definitely takes a special personality to be a goalie. You need to be in front of the shot. I feel that many people are hard on the goalie and
blame them for losses, but hockey is a team sport and a loss is not just
confident, calm, focussed, and be able to let things go at times.
the goalie’s fault.

Answer Answer
I think the hardest position to play Of the three positions on a hockey team, I find
is goalie. I think this because the goaltender the most difficult to play. Everyone
equipment is big and some of the thinks the physical aspect of being strong,
fast, and sharp as a goaltender is important. It
equipment is heavy like the chest
is, but there is another part to being a goaltender
protector and the pads. People just that makes it a hard position to play. It’s the
starting would probably find it hard but psychological aspect. Being a goaltender myself, I
t he y would get used to it. I have experienced know how difficult this aspect of the game is and not everyone
playing goalie on the outdoor rink and it was hard. You recognizes how much it can affect a goaltender. Every goaltender needs
have to learn the butterfly and other moves and when I tried to have a strong mindset to recover from difficult games and a short
memory during the game to learn to forget a goal and focus on the next
those moves I kept falling over. I think I will stick to playing
shot. When a forward or a defence make a mistake it can go unnoticed,
forward and scoring goals instead of saving them! but when a goaltender makes a mistake it shows up on the scoreboard.
