Cornwall Colts: Tanner Tarbell

or Tanner Tarbell, even though he grew up in
FAkwesasne, he had no idea he would end up playing
junior level hockey—let alone for the Cornwall Colts.

Before playing for the Colts, Tanner played for the Notre
Dame Hounds SJHL and for the Hawkesbury Hawks
CCHL. Before his junior career, he played prep hockey at
Stanstead College.

Tanner, 20, started playing hockey at age six. Both his
mother and father had played hockey growing up, so it
was a natural sport for Tanner to pick up.

This is Tanner’s first year playing with the Colts after
being traded from Notre Dame. Tanner plays left wing.
“We had a tough start to the season but we’re currently
working on turning things around,” said Tanner about
playing with the Colts. “I believe we are most successful
when we play fast and outwork our opponent.”

His favourite part about playing for the Colts has been
getting to know his new teammates and spending time
with them.

So far in his hockey career, a memorable moment for
Tanner was being able to fly to Minnesota while playing
for Stanstead College to play in the CCM invitational. His
goals for the future include having the opportunity to play
