Fishing with Canaan Lajoie

ine-year-old Canaan Lajoie is
Nan active young boy, but one
of his favourite hobbies, he says, is
fishing.

“I love being outdoors and the
excitement of never knowing what
you might catch,” says Lajoie.

Lajoie has been passionate
about fishing for as long as he can
remember.
“My earliest memory is of fishing
with my dad and my grandfather.
We would fish from shore and catch
different fish, most often gobies,”
says Lajoie.

His favourite place to fish is
Lamoureux Park, where he says
there are a few good places to cast
from the shore. Depending on the
time of year, Lajoie says the fish
often bite frequently.

Through his fishing endeavours,
Lajoie has made some great
memories.
