Ottawa Senators Help Celebrate Black History Month

o commemorate the 125th anniversary of the
Tinaugural season of the Coloured Hockey
League of the Maritimes (CHLM), the Ottawa
Senators hosted a commemorative hockey game at
Canadian Tire Centre on Monday, February 3, 2020
in partnership with the NHL and Black History
Ottawa featuring teams named after the opponents
in the first game of the CHLM, the Halifax Eurekas
and the Dartmouth Jubilees.

Participating in the ceremonial puck drop were (L-R), Sean Foyn (Black History Ottawa), Robert
Downey (CHLM descendant), Hockey Hall of Famer Willie O’Ree (first player to break the colour
