Colts Then & Now: Lawson MacDonald

FLawson MacDonald looks back
fondly on his time with the team.
He spent parts of 6 seasons with the
team, including getting called up as
a 15-year-old during the 2010-11
season.
“My favourite memory would
scoring my first goal,” recalls
MacDonald. “It was my second
career game and we were getting
blown out in Hawkesbury. I was
thrown on a late-game power play
and hammered home a rebound off
the end boards. That goal made the
final score 8-1. It was especially cool
to have all the older players excited
for me and joking around.”

Joking around with the team’s
rookies was something MacDonald
would make sure to do, especially
when they would score their first
CCHL goal.

It was during his 6th and final
season with the Colts that MacDonald
wore the “C”. Following, he went on
to Marian University in Wisconsin
