Cornwall Typhoons Girls Hockey Teams Return to Play

According to Allan, the usually begins in early September.

program by age group starting in late
September and running to December.
After December, the plan is to
run programs based on directives
from the Ontario Women’s Hockey
Association, the governing body of
the sport in the province.
“We’re hoping to be able to
introduce 3 on 3 or 4 on 4 gameplay
as the restrictions are modified,”
Allan explains. “Our registration is
going very well for all age groups.
We believe most parents and players
are looking forward to getting back
on the ice again.” He notes that
the only age group that might be
affected is the TYKE (U7) program.
“We may not be able to take non-
skaters based on the current OWHA
protocol,” he explains. “But we are
hoping restrictions change.”

information on the CGHA’s return-
to-play policies should visit the
Association’s website where they
will find a draft of the document that
comprehensively outlines protocols.
