She has been swimming with the
Sea Lions for four years and the
freestyle stroke is her favourite.
Abi said she enjoys the challenging
practices her coach, Cory Kyer,
puts together for them and seeing
how she improves with her strokes
and speed every week.
“Abi has shown quite the
commitment to swimming this
year. Early into the season she had
an accident and broke her arm but
that didn’t stop Abi. Her parents
ordered her a rubber band to go
around the cast and as soon as she
