Cory Kyer as the new head
coach. Kyer’s own journey with
the Sea Lions began when she
was six years old as a swimmer
in the program. By age 15,
she was competing at the
national level. Her introduction
to coaching came when her
daughters started swimming.
“When my girls were old
enough to start swimming, I had
moved back to the Cornwall area
and one of my old teammates
was the coach at the time. I
didn’t hesitate to put them into
the sport,” said Kyer. “Watching
from the sidelines was tough
and I developed a need to help
out and share my knowledge. I
applied to coach the very next
year and have been with the
club since.” From left to right: Sophia Christoph, Lily MacKenzie, Rori Campbell, Alivia Kyer, Bree Campbell.
