60+ Cornwall Classics Qualify for Canadian

Championships in Kamloops, BC

OSGA tournament that was
held in Georgetown, On.

The 2 top teams
advance to the Canadian

Championships which will
be held in Kamloops, BC in
August 2020.

The Classics lost in the
final game to Brampton 1-0
in a hard-fought game, but

both teams are advancing to
Kamloops.

Chris Nichol was

Larry Brown BORN:
Anton was born in the Netherlands. There were eleven children in his
family. Anton married Rose Marie from Metcalfe and together they
had three children.
CAREER:
Anton started the Bekker’s Equipment Company to repair Grundig
Stenorette office dictating machines. Anton is a community-minded

ALL BLINDS person who enjoys helping out wherever needed. He has been a Lion’s
Club member for ten years. He helped renovate the village Catholic
church rectory. Anton delivers the weekly Winchester Press to over
23 post offices in a 60-70-mile radius. Rose and Anton live in the

Metcalfe McKeown Stanley apartments. He enjoys being a handyman
for the tenants.
OSGA INTERESTS:
Anton won the District 8 Gold Medal in the 3-KM Prediction Walk this summer. He and Rose have
SAVE 50 % competed in District, Regional, and Provincial games in cribbage, euchre, and bid euchre. Anton

enjoys the Ontario Senior Games and believes the social and competitive aspects of the association
